U.S. RESIDENTS: TELL CONGRESS TO SUPPORT THE SWIMS ACT AND STOP THE SUFFERING OF WHALES IN CAPTIVITY

There are approximately 50 whales currently held in captivity across the United States with few federal laws protecting them. The suffering of whales in captivity is cruel and unacceptable.
Whales are majestic, intelligent, and socially complex animals. Studies have shown captive whales have a mortality rate 2.5 times higher than whales in the wild and routinely show signs of severe mental collapse.
The Strengthening Welfare in Marine Settings (SWIMS) Act was reintroduced on January 30, 2024 and aims to end the future capture and breeding of whales for public display.
Tell Congress to support the SWIMS Act and let's finally put an end to the exploitation of orcas, beluga whales, pilot whales, and false killer whales.
