URGE WHOLE FOODS TO DITCH PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA PRODUCTS

A new undercover investigation released by LCA exposes animal suffering on Prosciutto di Parma supplier farms in Italy. The farms house a combined total of 7,500 pigs, including 500 sows (pregnant pigs).
The footage, filmed between April to November of 2024, depicts a pattern of suffering, neglect, and unsanitary conditions.
The United States is the largest importer of Prosciutto di Parma products which are sold at major retailers - including Whole Foods.
Whole Foods' "Meat Department Quality Standards" states that "no gestation stalls or farrowing (birthing) crates" are permitted. LCA's footage shows sows suffering in gestation and farrowing crates without room to turn around.
We are urging Whole Foods to stand by their own "Quality Standards" and stop selling Prosciutto di Parma products!
